Cooks Pest Control

Ok, since they charged less than everybody else I decided to give them a try. A guy named Shannon came to my house August 30th 2020, and I said before we begin service I want to let you know that I'm disabled and can't afford to pay too much.

He proceeded to tell me about the company's service. He said one fourty-nine that the first service and thirty-three dollars after that. I was sold. So I let the guy come out the same month for the service, and he exterminated outside and inside that day.

I paid him one hundred forty-nine dollars in August 2020. He came back in November 2020 exterminated outside I paid him the thirty-three dollars that day. Now it's January 2021, and they are trying to charge me an extra sixty-six dollars for service that didn't happen.

I tried to dispute the bill but only got a lot of flack and I from the people at the company. In other words they didn't care about my feelings.

We now have more spiders and other pests than we ever had. I swear whatever they use is an attractant not a deterrent!

He was here about 10 days ago & i went out & took some pictures of whats hanging around after they ticked me off again today. They are supposed to brush webs etc off the house & keep pests away from & out of the house! In addition to calling pests their customer service is just as bad. When a rep called in August I told him I noticed the check I sent hadn’t cleared yet.

He said he’d let the office know & have them call if they needed to. No calls. Wednesday afternoon we received the bill for what i had paid. We keep a copy of every check we pay them.

Other than myself they’re the only one i use checks for so it wasn’t sent to someone else. Thursday am we call to make sure & to have them annotate the account we will send a second check since they lost the first one, gave them the original check number, ask they don’t cash both checks when/if they find the other one & we’d get the replacement in the mail. I did not want to stop payment because that costs to much. She said she’d annotate the account.

Apparently she lied! Thursday afternoon someone called & were ragging about it not being paid as well as the payment for the monthly service (we didn’t receive that bill until yesterday-Friday, which was very late. Normal is end of prev month. I send payment on 1st of month).

I told initial contact that but must not be able to hear. Since their service is so bad i wait until i get bill in mail for services. However we had said Thursday am we’d get the replacement check & check for the last months service in the mail. I was, to put it politely so ticked off they now started harassing about the check they lost on the very same day I had called them I decided I would mail it on Monday.

Today, Saturday they called again! This is really ticking me off. If only they were this persistent with getting rid of spiders & pests! After I inquired in August they could have called, when we called Thursday am she could have told the truth & said she wasn’t going to do diddly doo & was going back to whatever tripped her trigger.

2 calls since thursday (after we called them & it was supposed to have been annotated, so talked to them 3 times) & this is only Saturday. When people come to the house we apologize for the spiders all over the front door & tell them we do have cooks pest control. They laugh & say raid or whatever works & would be faster & cheaper. The only reason we are still with them is we were giving them a second chance because the first guy was a royal screw up.

With the spider i found on the onside last weekend & whats around the house now as well as their now concern over check they lost probably not much longer. My neighbor has had bug increase as well. A Cook customer told us their video camera caught them rummaging through stuff in bedroom. Jewelry boxes aren’t normally a place you look for pest activity & warned us not to leave them in the house alone.

We dont. But they dont like you to know when theyre going to be here. From the first contact (same person mentioned earlier) with them we ask for a couple days notice. If they call its the night before.

Pictures...The spider on screen was inside house since he was here! I just chose 4 from today for the around the house. These spiders are different than the 4 parson spiders I found earlier - cant find pictures for them. The one in the bottle i found on the wall beside my bed last month!

The daddy long leg ones are all over the front porch. This picture was taken last month but its a common sight.
